WordPress blog subscription screen

My site is http://www.grandviewumc.org/grandviewconnections. I have an elderly group of people signing up for my blog. They are putting in emails on the Free Subscription block and they are getting the email that tells them to click Continue to Follow to verify that they did signup for the blog. HOWEVER the next email is confusing as it is asking them to use WordPress to manage their blog subscriptions. I can tell them to ignore that but I wonder if there is a way that this form is not sent to them?
