Avatar Images Missing from Dasboard Comments after 3.8.1 Upgrade

    Hi there,
    have just upgraded from 3.5.2 to the latest version of 3.8.1 and noticed that in the admin backend that the avatar / gravatar images have disappeared from the author section when I go to approve Comments. The images are showing up in the front end comments but have completely vanished from the back end. In the Settings / Discussions the Show Avatars box is definitely checked too.

    The avatar images are also missing from the Dashboard Home Page under the Comments in the Activity section.

    Can you help please.
