• Hi Steve! I *love* this WordPress Plugin! Any chance you could port it over to a Joomla extension too? LOL!

If I may, a few feature additions have come to mind for a future release. I’m not sure if they’re all possible without too much code manipulation. I’m not a developer, haha!

    1) Add a “Now Playing” widget displaying only the song that is playing
    2) Remove the “Now Playing” from the “Recently Played” widget
    3) Add a “Number of current (or concurrent) listeners” widget displaying how many people are listening. Maybe include option to add extra data like “Top number of listeners”, for example, if only 5 people are listening, at one time there was 10, so you’d be able to see those kinds of stats.
    4) Instead of clicking on the song link to request it, maybe if you clicked on the song link, an info page displaying the song and ID3 information could pop up and you could request the song from that page. I know this has been discussed already and would be a great asset!

That’s it for now, but I may have more ideas in the future.

While I’ve got your attention, can I display my Playlist only using a [playlist] code without the Search bar? Then if someone wanted to request a song, then they would click the “Requests” widget and make a request from there by searching for what they want? In the Search criteria at the top and bottom of my playlist, the fields for my page numbers 1 to X stretch the entire length of the template’s field. How can I fix this? (I used Artisteer to make my template — is that yet another Artisteer bug?)

    Thanks so much!
    Dan

Steve, any chance you could review the “Recently Played” widget which I’ve used but called it “Now Playing”, and set the number to 1, but 2 songs show up, the one playing and the one last played. Could you remove the last song played unless the person selects more than one song?

That’s actually not a bug. The number you enter is actually the number of songs BEFORE the current track you want to list. To show only the current track, you should be able to use 0.

When I change the number to 0, it shows the current track and 5 last played tracks as well.

It’s strange, I set the value to “0.5” and it shows only the current track playing!
