   Would be nice. It was there in previous versions. Would eliminate extra mouse clicks. (Because I'm nothing if I'm not lazy.)

   If you go to Manage Pages for whatever reason, then decide you want to create a new Page, you have to click on the Write tab, which defaults to New Post. You then have to click on the Page tab.

   This way, you're already at Manage Pages. Just click a link that says Add [Create?] Page .. one click.

   Works for me the right way:
   manage pages - click on write tab - write page (not post)

   There is evidently an error in your dashboard.

   in all three browsers in every install of WP 2.5.1 that I manage?

   I´ve it tested with three blogs

   one fresh installation of 2.5.1
   one upgraded installation (from 1.5.2 to 2.5.1)
   and on my local installation

   and all I can say it is - it works for me.

   I think they've missed the point of your statement. I miss that button too.
