Is there some way where we can sort the event per category in the front page

Is there some way where we can sort the events per category in the front page?

say i have two event
1. local event
2. international event

when one clicks on an event category (eg. international event)

then only “international event will be display without showing those events listed on local event

by the way im also using Event Organiser Posterboard
