Discussion option not availabe in screen options of post pages

    I’ve searched the forums, but I haven’t found my problem.

    I currently can only turn on discussion for individual posts by going into the back end and turning it on in the database.

    I have the discussions turned on the discussion settings

    The new articles are publishing as closed comments and there is no screen option on the post to turn it on.

    I am using 2013 template with a child version.

    If it is any help the eliteathletic.com
    Any ideas?
