Hi Kathleen, I haven’t seen that particular error before. If you feel adventurous, could you try turning it on again and then capture the error log as described here? Then please send me the information you find about that. Thanks
Bob
Hi Bob —
I believe I followed the instructions to a “T” and I do not seem to have the debug.log file in the wp-content folder.
Oh, I also receive this message.
“If you have a caching plugin, be sure to clear the cache!”
I don’t have a caching plugin.
Hi Kathleen, I have the plugin always display that message regardless of the presence of a caching plugin (Rather than develop the logic to detect a bunch of different plugins I decided to go with the generic warning)
Hmm..At this point I can’t explain why you are getting that message. If you want, I can login to your system and look around myself. This requires that you give me an account with credentials. However, I fully understand if you would rather I not get on the system.
Bob
Hi Kathleen, were you able to get things working or see what the problem was?
Bob
Hi Bob — My apologies for the delay response. I had a theme update and I just hadn’t had a chance to do it. I thought maybe that might help. I just did the update and it’s still giving me “The service is unavailable.”
I’ve updated my site…..for now. So I guess it’s not an immediate concern but it’s a bummer because I really like this plug-in. Like I mentioned, I use it for the site I manage at work.
At this point, I’m not sure what the problem is.
Sorry to hear it’s still giving you problems. If/when you capture a log per the link I sent earlier or want me to get on your system to look around please let me know.
Bob
