    Hello,

I’m using Events manager 5.5.2 on a WordPress 3.8.1 website and it worked well. Now, suddenly, it displays 404 errors on my events pages. I tried to configure permalinks by default (instead of “/%postname%/”) : it works. My website is online so it’s really a big trouble…

I’ve just installed WordPress SEO by Yoast but by deactivating it, it doesn’t work either.

    Can you help me ?

    hi,

do you have sample link to your site for us to see and check?

    thanks

    Hi,

You can see here. This link is supposed to be a single event page…
And by adding “?event=” before the name of the event, it works…

    Thanks

When I look at http://web-aperos-nantais.com/evenements/ it says there are no events, which would explain why an individual event page shows a 404.

    Thanks

No, it’s a passed event. You can click on the calendar on the right and select January 23rd, that’s this event.
As you can see by adding “?event=” before the name of the event in the URL, it exists.
I tested adding new future private events but it doesn’t work either.

I see on the web that it is a recurrent problem on Events Manager… but no solution…

Have you tried re-saving your permalinks?

If you publish a test event with a date in the future does that page work?

    (@crakotte)

Yes, I tried many times and it doesn’t change anything.
And no, none of the events works even with a date in the future…

This could be an issue caused by another plugin or your theme.

Can you test by deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default WordPress theme, then re-saving your permalinks after the changes?

I still have a 404 error page by deactivating all other plugins and re-saving permalinks.
I can’t switch the theme : my website is online. It is the default WordPress theme : just a child.

how about if you create brand new pages and assign those as new event pages? you can call them whatever you want to begin with, reassign them in EM settings, and test them out, just to see if it works.

Then, you can rename the slugs etc. of these pages and make them children of the events page, hopefully it’ll still work.

let me join in this discussion – also a 404 error on the main events page on my blog. only when permalinks are set to default (article/page-id), i get no 404 error. look here :jk-schule.de/termine

    This doesn’t change anything… I’m despairing…

(Fieseline, your link is not a WordPress website…)

sorry, try the link with a slash at the end:
    jk-schule.de/termine/

    edit:
don’t know what is happening, but editing my link directs to a page inside wp-support…….
so do not click, just write jk-schule.de/termine/

@fieseline While your issue may appear the same it’s very likely different so please start a new thread where we can better focus on you. Thanks!

@crakotte What exactly is your permalink structure, please? And what are the EM permalink settings?

    Thanks

    thank you, new topic created.

    (@crakotte)

My permalink structure is just website.com/%postname%/ and for EM it’s website.com/evenements/
