• The cloud optimize seems to timeout a lot when doing bulk optimize. I’ve only tried it on a few sites so far and have had to restart each bulk optimisation a number of times to complete it, sometimes it only gets through a few images, sometimes 50 or 100, or none.

Is it supposed to be or going to be super reliable or should we just forget about using the cloud optimize for now?

The cloud service is generally very reliable (haven’t had any unplanned outages yet). I would check your php settings, and possibly check with your webhost to ensure that they aren’t killing the optimization process.

i’m having the same issue. Operation interrupted. What is it I should check? My sites are on WP Engine.

I suspect they are killing it for too much constant load on the database side of things. I’ve been in contact with them, and they had requested throttling capability, which is already in the ‘dev’ release if you want to try it out: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/ewww-image-optimizer.zip

ok, well i just decided not to worry about it, for the hosting which ewww works fine on we will use it and for hosting where it doesnt we wont.
