I have installed the plugin BackUpWordPress and wanted to test it. The backup works properly and I can export the file named something like fara2caQ5. But how can I import the backup again if I need it one time?
    Thanks for support

One way to do it would be to install a local copy of WordPress and restore the backup there.

But what type of file is this backup-file? I've tried to put .zip or .rar endings, but the file couldn't be opened.

Okay so installed Plugin, did backup and the backup got put into a gz zip file. The gz file contained a wordpress.sql file that you could test via a phpMyAdmin import.

Might want to look for 7-zip program to uncompress that file.
