Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Woo-commerce – shipping costs problems

  • Dear people,

I started a few days ago with my own webshop, using the woo commerce plugin. It’s looks great and it’s easy to work with but i have an important question that needs to be solved before i can put anything online.

I’m not sure how to workout the shippingcosts. I created different cost classes:

    1. 3,50 normal
    2. 5,50 medium
    3. 6,95 big
    4. €150 or more is free shipping

So i can point these classes towards an order or towards the individual products but then theres another problem.

What if someone buys 2 books who could fit perfectly through the mailbox the shop counts twice, class 1. So it would be another 7 euro for 2 books, while it should only be 1 time 3,50.

What if someone buys 2 books and 2 boardgames, the sites counts 4 times shipping costs and it just looks at which costs comes with the product and does the math itself.

I could also connect the shipping class and the order together but how could i ever set a good price for that since i dont know the order before it’s actually made. What if someone orders 4 boardgames and has to pay just 5,50 for the shippingcosts while it would actually cost me 20 euro to send it to the right adress.

Maybe someone can help me out here, because i’m sure other people had the same problems. Is there a function in woo-commerce to fix this or do i have to change my policy?

    I have another question.

How can i change the numbers of products on the catagory page? it’s default on 12 but i want to increase it to 14?

Any help would be great and i want to thank you all in advance for the response.

    Kinds regards,

    Roy G
