    Hi,

I’ve just upgraded Contact Form 7 to 3.6 and I’m surprised to see it comes with its own date picker. It looks great, but I’d like to restyle it anyway. I can’t figure out how to do that, though. It seems it’s not like simply making some changes in the stylesheet.

What I want to do is to change the color of the calender border, the ‘delete date’ cross and the background of a selected date, which are all (a shade of) blue.

Tips and tricks are much appreciated 🙂

  • Contact Form 7 has some Datepicker support via the new HTML5 date input type (see http://contactform7.com/date-field/) but this is currently only supported on some browsers – see http://www.wufoo.com/html5/types/4-date.html

Appearance of the Datepicker is controlled by the browser unless you do a fair bit of work to substitute the default browser Datepickers with one the various jQuery extensions available.

There is a Contact Form 7 Datepicker plugin but this is widely reported as not working.

Ah, yes: I already found out it doesn’t work in IE 8.

I had the date picker plugin installed already and much to my satisfaction, i must say. I’ll turn it back on, I think. The html 5 date picker isn’t really a solution when you consider that IE 8 is still widely used. The required date format is also a bit of a drawback for users outside of the US.

    Thank you very much, Buzztone!

    Have a nice weekend.
