Replace exhisting site w no downtime

    I’m building a replacement site for a client whose current site is not on WP. I have built plenty of WP sites, but I always quick install from hosting CP and start new sites afresh. This is a salon however and they book appointments online so down time is not at all an option.
    Would appreciate help on the easiest way I could go about building the site live then switching it over to replace the old one once completed – thanks!

    Since the site is found by the domain name, this is really a question about domain management, not WP.
    I would build the site in another directory under a sub domain, and (late at night) point the actual domain at that directory and change the site url/home page in WP admin.
    “No downtime” isn’t possible because of propagation times but generally changes only take 10-15 minutes to start working.
