False 404 with Really Simple CAPTCHA?

    I recently started getting several 404s on a daily basis with the url as:

    /wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_captcha/…….png

    However, if you land on any of the pages (externally), no 404 is generated and the CAPTCHA works fine. Even after a contact submission, there is no 404 generated. So, I am led to believe this is a false 404.

    Any idea how to fix this?
