• I have just changed host and transfered my website via Vaultpress. My website, http://www.followtheboat.com, does not yet show and my host says it is a script file in root that needs modifying.

Would this be .htaccess or my config file? What change should I be looking to make?

    Cheers

  • In your hosts panel software, if you use one, did you point your domain at the correct location of your installation?

Yes, it points to the root (ie where wp_config et al reside).

    So it is:

    http://www.followtheboat.com/readme.html

OK start by temporarily renaming your .htaccess. Did you amend your wp-config.php to use your new database setting ?

    Hi,

I have renamed my .htaccess file. The wp-config file does not need amending according to my host, but the ‘script’ file does. They allowed me to set up a test of my migrated site and all was well. Now that the domain transfer has gone through and the website is now live… nothing.
