• Hey there,

I’m running this great plugin on two websites and it works fine on my blog but not on my writer’s website.

They’re both running different WordPress themes so I thought perhaps it could be something in my writer’s website’s theme blocking the plugin. I emailed the Serena theme creator, who told me to delete a line of code in the header.php. This was the code: <meta name=”description” content=” <?php bloginfo(‘name’); echo “: “; bloginfo(‘description’); ?> “>

But I’ve done that and now all that shows up in the search results is the first few lines of whatever is on each page. So still not my SEO content. Any suggestions on what else I could try to get this working?

    Thanks,
    Koren

  • Hi Koren,

All in One SEO Pack appears to be handling your description correctly here; note that Google decides what it displays on its search results, and while it does use the meta description as a suggestion, it is not required to use it as its description. Also, you have some other markup (microdata for a blog posting) on your site that Google is detecting as well; this may be due to your theme or due to another plugin on your site.
