I have a problem with your nice plugin backupwordpress. I have just updated your plugin to the latest update and, when I go to your plugin options panel, I can’t find my latest backups. So I went to my FTP program and I see a folder called “bd5a33e7df-backups” with a lot of backups (up to 2.3Gb). I would like to delete this folder and all the backups inside but I can not do that!!

I would appreciate if you told me how I can delete this folder and all the files inside it.

    Thank you in advance.

Can you not delete the folder through FTP?

Can I ask which host you are on?

It is called “minervahosting”, from Spain.

    Ah K,

It sounds like your PHP user and FTP user are different and so you can’t delete files over FTP which were created by PHP (unfortunately there isn’t anything I can do in the plugin about that).

I’d suggest contacting you host and asking them to delete the plugin.

The core issue here is that your backups directory was somehow “forgotten” by the plugin when you upgraded which is not what should happen at all.

You could also try deleting the new empty backups folder and renaming the old one so it has the name the new one had.
