alx Tabs – set cookie to preserve active state

Howdy! I launched my re-do with this theme and am happy with the response it’s receiving, with one small issue:

I had tabs in my old theme that would set a cookie to remember what the last tab some activated was and then activate that on each page load.

Would this be possible with your theme? (html and css I can do; JavaScript gives me a headache.)
