is there a workaround for a Facebook like button?

    Just installed slim jetpack for the social buttons only to discover that the Facebook like button is only available if your website is hosted on wordpress.com. Ouch.

    I tried making my own FB like button from the ‘add a new service’ option. I entered the URL code that Facebook insights gave me and even uploaded a FB icon so I had a URL to enter for the official icon. What I got was a silly little generic button with the y-shaped share symbol that had the word Like typed on it because that’s what I labeled the icon.

    Anybody have a solution on how to get the FB like on slim jetpack? Otherwise, I’ve got to go shopping for a social share plug-in once again. Sigh.
