no changes was wrote into .htaccess

    Hi,
    I have a brandnew WP 3.8 installation with one plugin (Better Security 3.6.3)
    I have an empty .htaccess file but better security does not wrote into it.
    I have allowed this in the wp-config.php but nothing happens:
    //BEGIN Better WP Security
    define( ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true );
    //END Better WP Security.

    The .htacces was manualy created in the WP-Folder and has 644 File Permissions. Permlinks are enabled.

    hmmm….

    What can I do?
