OK – so just to confirm this is restricted to viewing events pages where there are no events, or is it a general problem you are experiencing even on pages where events are found?
OK. And in addition to disabling other plugins did you also switch to a default, unmodified theme (but at the same time)? Did that help at all?
Same thing. The image I attached shows the body class’ and the error 404 page didn’t disappear when I was using the default 2014 theme. The page title is 404 no matter what theme I try.
Hmm, I’m sorry you’ve had such a rough ride with this.
So the last thing to try would be repeating those steps (so no other plugins running and only a default theme) then visit Settings → Permalinks – you need not change anything, just visiting this is sufficient to flush permalinks and try again.
One thing I just want to clarify, in case I’ve been misinterpreting what you’ve told me – is the actual event content visible? In other words, is this a problem where you cannot access single events, for instance, and are being presented with a 404 – or is it the case that you are seeing a 404 status when viewing an empty event archive page?
Tried that long time ago. In case it was a custom post type issue with the permalinks but that didn’t work.
I get the 404 page on everything. When I select a page slug I will get the 404 title and body class. Deactivate the plugin and no more 404 on title.
Can you share a URL to your site so I can be absolutely sure I’m understanding the situation, and also look for any indications of what might be behind this?
I am having the same issue here: http://readypulse.staging.wpengine.com/?post_type=tribe_events
Works when i have ugly URLs – and breaks with pretty URLs
Hello Barry,
I gave up on the calendar since the client decided to use another system for their events.
Andy
We’re sorry to hear that, hopefully you have the opportunity to try it again in the future 🙂
