    Having some issues on one of my sites where I repeatedly receive the same error message over and over again in the error log:

    [16-Jan-2014 19:24:52] WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query select val from wp_wfConfig where name=’firewallEnabled’ made by require(‘wp-load.php’), require_once(‘wp-config.php’), require_once(‘wp-settings.php’), do_action(‘plugins_loaded’), call_user_func_array, wordfence::veryFirstAction, wfConfig::get, wfDB->querySingle

    I deleted WordFence from this server for the time being. Hopefully, someone from the WordFence team knows what this is so I can possibly bring it back.

    Hi,

    It sounds like your database is overloaded and can’t accept any more connections. If you’re running your own database, edit your /etc/mysql/my.cnf file and allow more connections if you can. Otherwise please file a support ticket with your hosting provider.

    Regards,

    Mark

    I dont’ feel that’s a good answer. How do I stop it.

    Sorry you feel that way. It’s the best I have. If you have a specific question I’d be glad to help or you can post a new thread which will get a faster response since it will be marked ‘unresolved’.

    Regards,

    Mark.
