one site – two blogs

I use wordpress to manage my site. It’s not really a blog, it’s a list of recommended travel destinations. Each destination has it’s own post with pics and info but no date displayed. I change the dates on the various posts to rearrange the order and keep things fresh.

I’ve decided I should add a normal blog to the site where I can linkbait and be more personal. I’d want it to display at the top of the sidebar and for only the most recent post to show.

Any idea how to do something like this?
