• This might be a silly question…
but in the admin file, I can create posts and pages… but why can’t I create posts under certain pages?
my site is http://www.theOutsideGuide.com and I want to add a post under the various pages..

any point in the right direction would be appreciated.

  • Well, Posta and Pages are pretty different critters. Most folks who try to mix them spend a lot of time coding instead of adding content… what fun is that? 😉

Sounds to me like you want to use Categories. With the use of Category_Templates you can give category pages their own look/feel/content (via the template).

    thanks.
can I then have teh categories reside under the pages? or what use is the pages if I can’t post under it?

my plan… is to have pages for various tech gadgets and be able to write posts under each one of those pages.

    think that this is doable??

Is it doable? Sure — as categories 😉

Pages are for “static” data. About and Contact are good examples.
You can do exactly what you’re after with Categories. For example, take a look at the default theme. See how categories are listed in the side bar? Heck, just change the heading to something else (perhaps Gadgets?) and you’re off and running.
