I’ve seen Virtue-themed sites that show subtitles under the main text for the secondary menu. However, I can’t figure out how to insert this. I thought they might be the category descriptions, but that doesn’t seem to work. How is this possible? Thank you!

site is a work in progress: http://www.simplespectacular.com

it’s the description box in the menu items themselves. on the menus page in wp admin.

Sorry – new at this, but I don’t see any description box.

    I’m under “appearance” and “menus”

Under “Menu Structure” I see my menu items. Under each, I can add “Navigation Label” and “title attribute.” These are the only two options I have, and neither adds subtitles.

Am I looking in the right place?
    Thanks!

Ok, I figured it out. Under the Menu screen, I needed to go to the top right corner to find “screen options.” I selected the box marked “descriptions.” Then, when I edit the individual menu items, the “descriptions” box is available.

Thank you, that is very helpful 🙂
