I have done several wordpress installs before with no problems. However, I am attempting to do an install on godaddy hosting (which I am totally unfamiliar with) for a friend of mine. I put in all the correct information on the wp-config file, I have everything uploaded. I go to the install.php file, it takes me through step 1 no problems (blog name, email address), then I hit submit. it loads the header graphic for step 2…then I get nothing. The page has the loading bar going for a while, then says done with nothing but the top banner image loaded. Hitting refresh just gets me the “Already Installed

You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.” message, and the password that is emailed to me is badly mangled (along the lines of Qnb7#9T@b#) and doesn’t work.

anyone have any clue what to do here?
