Silly me, I have forgotten how add dates to posts

    It’s a theme issue. WordPress timestamps all posts but it’s the theme that determines whether these are displayed. What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

    Many thanks, that was the clue I needed. I bought a professional Theme. not certain if I am allowed to post a link to the site?

    You could but as you are using a non-WPORG theme, you will need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from wordpress.org here.
