WP to Twitter/Pro Crashing VPSes | WordPress.org

We use this one 2 different VPS, namecheap and linode, both decent powerful, and it seems that the publish action, of tweeting these articles is filling up 2gb of ram and bringing these servers down. Any ideas why this might be happening?
