   Before installing any plugin, I always look a the files before uploading (security) and I found a file called matej_register_english.php which redirects to your site.

   What would be the purpose behind this?

   When you run the plugin for the first time it notifies my site that the plugin has been installed on your site.
   I was wondering what percentage of downloaded plugins actually gets installed and this is the reason I put it in there.
   You can safely comment out a line or two that does the actual call.

   Thanks for the info, can't be too careful and this could have been interpreted as a phishing scheme.

   It would be cool if this plugin could only show "active" plugins.

   plugins phone home without extra code -- thats kinda unnecessary. :)

   I had considered at one time doing something similar with my plugins. I don't really see it as a problem, however it would certainly be handy for the developer to comment that section though so that people don't get suspicious.

   I do tend to agree with you Whoo, with all the phishing scams going on, a little paranoia is in order.

   Exactly : how to comment the lines ? :) Which lines should or could be commented ?
