When you run the plugin for the first time it notifies my site that the plugin has been installed on your site.
I was wondering what percentage of downloaded plugins actually gets installed and this is the reason I put it in there.
You can safely comment out a line or two that does the actual call.
Thanks for the info, can't be too careful and this could have been interpreted as a phishing scheme.
It would be cool if this plugin could only show "active" plugins.

I had considered at one time doing something similar with my plugins. I don't really see it as a problem, however it would certainly be handy for the developer to comment that section though so that people don't get suspicious.

I do tend to agree with you Whoo, with all the phishing scams going on, a little paranoia is in order.
