• The new version looks great, thanks for the update!

One issue I’m having persistent trouble with is the image sizes. On the previous version the image would be resized to fit the whole image on a mobile device. The new version shows the image so large only about half fits on the the screen and the other half is gone. Here’s the website, BackpackersUnion.com.

I was having the same issue with the website on mobile devices prior to installing the previous version on WPTouch which fixed the problem beautifully. However the issue has returned with the update.

Appreciate your help and thanks for the great plugin!

  • I am having a similar problem with half a circular image being shown on the slider. I completely removed it because of another issue I am having.

My site also shows dates on some articles and images on others. I noticed the ones that show photos are the articles I specifically set a featured image on. Even if I dont set a featured image on my site, it still picks up the image so I don’t have to do it for all posts – only those I choose.

Would be nice if the plugin would also pick up the first image uploaded is the featured image’ and utilize a photo instead of the date.

Thumbnails are generated from the featured images attached to posts and pages. At this time, there is no feature that uses the first image in the body of the content. Where no featured image exists, the placeholder thumbnail is used. In Bauhaus theme, this is a calendar icon.

The images on your posts use fixed dimensions. By definition, fixed dimensions override any scaling capabilities of iOS or WPtouch Pro. Choose to use flexible dimensions whenever possible to allow page elements to resize for various mobile screen sizes. If you are unable to change these dimensions at their source, you may add custom styling to your mobile theme to force flexible dimensions on those page elements.

Add custom styling in the Stats & Custom Code area of your WPtouch admin panel. The tool tip there will give you additional information if you want to use a stylesheet otherwise simply include your custom CSS inside style tags.
