I'm looking for a way to have non-Wordpress user users on the site. Let me explain.

I want to have a site that is largely private. But I don't want to give the members of the site Wordpress user logins because I want them to just give their username and login and just be able to see the private pages of the site without seeing the wordpress backend at all.

Also is it even possible to easily make a large group of pages private?

I'm having trouble finding any information for this so any help at all is appreciated. Thanks!

You could make password protected pages and posts, but I don't suppose that's what you want. I believe there's a plugin to hide parts of WP installations, but I'd have to look. Perhaps you should look around a little in the "Extend" section.
