I need to disable changes to a custom taxonomy, that I have associated with my custom post type.

I don’t want to display the metabox on the custom post type entry screen.

However, I do want a menu item so I can personally edit it easily.

No matter what combination of “Show Admin UI” (and it’s enabled options) and “Show in navigation menus” I use, I can’t get the desired result.

Is the current answer to just manually check and uncheck “Show Admin UI” as I need it?

Did I not include enough information here to get a reply? I see other later questions have been answered, just curious if my question was not clear?

I’m still catching up on my inbox this week, I’ve been juggling support and development while our community manager was on vacation, he’s back this week and things are starting to get cleared up again.

Thanks for the ping though, I’m happy to reply now.

There is currently no option to disable the metabox, but that’s a great idea. Could you submit the feature request at http://pods.io/submit/

As a solution for now, you may find this works for you:

I am more than happy to contribute in any way that I can.

Feature request added – hope I did it right, it was my first time at github 🙂
