Go into Appearance > Customize
Then Colors
Change the Contrast Color.
Thanks for your help but have tried that but found there are only two options in Twenty Fourteen – one for site title colour and for background colour (which doesn’t include the sidebar and top nav bar)
Bit strange why there is no option regards contrast colour yet everything else has options to change.
Any other suggestions that may help?
When I go into Appearance > Customize I get following page.

That’s where I can click Colors and change the Contrast Color.
How strange, my Twenty Fourteen doesn’t show the contrast option at all, I will see if ther
es an update I have missed, will let you know how it goes.
All updates are current so no idea why mine doesn’t have the contrast option???
My mistake, I forgot I have a plugin called fourteen-colors.
Sorry for the mix-up.
No problem, at least I can see whats needed on the twenty Fourteen theme, hope the developers will consider it in a future upgrade. Thanks for taking the time to help.
Just had a look at the Fourteen colours Theme…reckon its the way to go, Thanks!
Hello!
I use wordpress 3.9

I love inftead my articles appear as lists on the home page, it appears as slide.
I tried with a lot of plugin or play files single.php, functions.php and post.php but I always failed to what I want. Here is an example of exactly how I want my items are displayed: http://www.paysage3d.over-blog.com
Thank you for helping me.
@batharoy thanks for the tip about fourteen-colors. Works a charm.
Do you know if there is a plug-in that will change the menu color to something other than green?
Fourteen Colors also has an “Accent Color” option which lets you swap out all of the green with the color of your choice.

it suggests installing Styles and then Styles: Twenty Fourteen and you will have a whole lots of other options. Word of Warning: you will have to uninstall Mail Chimp Lite if you have it installed. Otherwise STyles Twenty Fourteen won’t work.
