    Hi,

I use the Random Content plugin in order to display a random image in the homepage every time someone visits the site.

I noticed that every time I load the homepage I see the same image (I used a lot of machines to confirm this).

    1) Only if I login as admin and then re-load the page the Random Content plugin works as it should.

    2) Deactivating Quick Cache the Random Content Plugin works as it should.

    Any ideas?

  • I suppose there is no solution as a cache plugin is supposed to give a “html” version of a page so Random features should not work. I suggest you to add the homepage in non cached pages option.

    Hi Li-An

Well I just set the cache expiration time in 24 hours, hopping that there will be random content every 24 hours.

Sorry for my quick answer before: I just saw what the option I spoke is available only in Pro version.
Maybe there is a more elegant solution, I hope some plugin’s author will give you a better answer.

    Hi all,

Is there any ice on this?

    Thank you

Quick Cache spits back out static HTML content from the cache, so dynamic portions of a page will be incompatible with Quick Cache.

I suggest contacting the “Random Content” plugin developer and pointing them to this page. Please ask them to check the FAQ tab, under the question: “I’m a plugin developer, how can I prevent certain pages from being cached.”.
