Posts Constantly Being Saved While Being Written

In my “Write” section of the WP 2.5.1 admin station, I have had problems with the ‘constant’ autosaving and backing up of my posts while writing them.

It appears to be doing this every two minutes and when it does this, it ‘bogs’ the writing down to the point where I can type and the words do not appear until later. If I mistype, it is very slow to move the cursor and correct the mistake.

This is on the ‘non visual editor’

Is there any way to disable this or change the autosaving and backing up time and push the time out to 5-10 minutes?
