As the topic title says, sure would be great to have it as a sidebar MP3 player widget.

I'm not sure I 100% understand your request.
µAudio should automatically scan all links on a page, even those in the sidebar, and replace them with a player on click. If you want a player to appear with a listing of titles, consider the wonderful podPress plugin, which does just that and more.
µAudio is meant to be small and unobtrusive. I cannot think of a small and unobtrusive way of adding player to the sidebar.
Although, it might be possible to scan the page, extract mp3 links and put them into a JW player in the sidebar. Is this what you had in mind?

Sounds like a plan, Christopher. I wonder if it could take the MP3 links from a music page or a folder.

HELP with audio player in sidebar!
My client has asked me to update her blog: http://www.womenonair.biz/blog
the client emailed me a new mp3 file to replace the current one that is at the top of the right sidebar. Where do I put the mp3 file, and how do I place it into the code in the right sidebar.php file so it will show up in right sidebar??
Here is the current code in the right sidebar .php file:
<div align="center" style="margin-bottom:10px;">
<iframe scroll=no width=75 height=25 frameborder=0 scrolling=no src="http://PlayAudioMessage.com/play.asp?m=491288&f=KEZYMJ&ps=13&c=CCCCFF&pm=2&h=25"></iframe>
</div>
thanks for any help you can give!
@raygene:
Ok, with version 0.5 there is a working implementation (which sometimes craps out in IE 6). It takes the links on the page and puts them into a JW player.
I may implement a folder based version of this. How would you imagine it working? Simply point to a folder on the configuration screen?
@elucia:
In principal, all you need to do in include a link to an mp3 file (an "a" whose target is an mp3). However, your site looks like a more involved podcasting solution is probably a better choice.

I definitely support this widget player that can read mp3 links from a page or folder.
From working with many musicians websites, it would be useful to load this widget in a separate window to have a player of their songs/albums while people can still browse their site without interrupting the audio.
If this micro-audio addition was not only a sidebar widget, but contained shortcode that you could post on a page, then the separate window player would be possible by making a page with that shortcode on it and having a new window link to it.
