site title, tagline & blog size

Hi, I’ve moved from 2010 to 2011 after having problems and now I have new problems.

In 2010 I couldn’t see the site tagline and title at the top of the browser (e.g. for this page it says WordPress > Support >> Twenty Eleven. The problem now is it is showing twice! How can I change it to only show it once.

Also, I have my blogs on my front page and it’s showing the full text rather than a synopsis (which I have changed under the option Reading Settings. how can I change this?
