I have the same problem, and with the new fourteen theme, it also “eats” on the menu… this is a shame, I really loved the plugin…
Maybe we shall get an upgrade?

Does the developer check in here? I hate to have to change out the plugin, as it took me a while to choose this one and I really like it.
Anyone have a suggestion for a replacement plugin that acts similarly? I can’t wait on the developer to fix this — could be today, could be a month from now.
Same here. The Plugin “works” with WP 3.8, but it no longer floats the social buttons.
It’s a shame that the developer has bailed on this plugin. It was a good one. Oh well.
I advise all who are thinking of using the plugin to avoid it now.
In the meantime i got the plugin work on WP 3.8 too.
Everyone who have problems with Floating Social Bar should check the header.php and footer.php of your theme. It seems that wp_head(); and wp_footer(); is needed for this plugin.

My install is the very compatible Genesis theme. Assume that has a wp_head(); and wp_footer().
Is this problem still not solved? It kind of sucks…
