I am currently creating a wordpress theme. It was nearly done (beta version) and I test it on my website:

    http://datarecoveryproducts.com

Everything went well, with W3C XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.1 validated, and tested on IE 6, Firefox 2.0.0.12, and Opera 9.26. But NOT on Google Translate.

No matter which browser I used, Google will mirror my site when translate. And I mean everything, that should be left aligned will now be right aligned. (try it and see for yourself)

I’m told it is a design issue, but I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I can’t find anything.

    I’m stuck. Please help.

Well your page validates and looks good. Machine translation is always a goofy subject. I suggest you try Babelfish instead, that seems to render your web page correctly.

    Thank you jdembowski, Babelfish works.

That draws more curiosity out of me. Why not Google? If my theme is validated, why it is mess up in Google?

It seems it is either Google have set another standard, or maybe it doesn’t like me. 🙂

I found it!! This took me a lot of time but now I managed to get it right.

    THIS IS A CSS ERROR.

The problem code is “span { float:right; }, I type that in because I think I’ll need it. But in the end I didn’t use it.

It seems Google will take that into consideration. And my site is messed up after that.

Take care and do not repeat the same mistake as I did.

Rufaswan, thanks for publishing the solution!
