Please include the 3.7 admin color scheme as an option for the admin schemes
-
Obviously there is a lot of discussion about this already in this forum, but specific issues are related to a criticism of the new admin scheme, or changing it back, etc.
I have not seen a specific issue posted to request this:
Please include the 3.7 admin color scheme as an option for the admin schemes, in an upcoming version of WP.
The reason I ask for this is:
The admin body/content area is a shade of grey and I need to change that color – some plugins print a shade of black text with that grey color as background (they do not create their own white(ish) background) and the contrast makes it hard to read for me. A lighter than pure black text on a shade of grey background is not good for me. I am not as young as most of you and my visual acuity is not what it used to be.
By the admin body/content area I mean for example the area of the admin on which the word Dashboard is sitting when you are viewing the dashboard.
Furthermore in general I found the 3.7 scheme much easier to see/read than the new scheme.
I have tried to use Firebug to identify the specific background css class/id and I am not sure which one it is. Furthermore I am not sure where I would put the css – in the style.css of a child theme? And this would not change some other areas of the scheme that I find not so readable.
There are a couple of plugins to change the scheme – one to revert it back to 3.7 style, but it seems to have some issues in the widget area. Another plugins adds schemes but I dont think it changes what I need changed.
Thanks for your consideration.
