ELA, tags, and full names

hello!

using Extended Live Archives still to manage an archived list of posts associated with a non-profit’s decade-long programming. we have many NAMES in our archive, of musicians, artists, filmmakers, etc. we want to use ELA’s tag sorting for these names. however ELA by default displays the names alphabetically by FIRST NAME. we want to use their surname for the listing.

we are using WordPress’ default tagging system. is there a way to fool WP or ELA into sorting alphabetically by surname?

so Abigail Miller doesn’t come before John Hancock, but after. sort by second name. any takers?
