I have a private blog and right now I have only very close family & friends as members. I am thinking about extending it to other friends, but I have some content that I want only my original readers to have access to. So, I would like to have two groups, but I’m wondering what will happen when the groups get notice of new posts. If I post something that only the first group has access to, will the other group get a notice and then they can’t view the post? This is what I don’t want to happen. Thanks.

That depends on what you’re using to notify them and how it is integrated with the way users may access posts or not. If the notifier uses the WordPress core API and obtains the posts that the recipient should be allowed to see, then only the receivers that actually have access to those posts should be getting a notification, because Groups will hide the posts that are restricted.

Right now I am using Subscribe2, but I could use another one if you know of one that would work for the way I’m describing.
