   Hello All,

   I'm stumped. When I click on a category, it redirects to my homepage. All categories behave this way. Here's some relative info:

   1. When I change themes...the categories work. [Most confusing]
   2. I've checked the .htaccess file and all is OK
   3. My permalinks are not custom.
   4. I was running 2.3 when I noticed the problem, then upgrade to 2.5.1 in hopes that the issue would magically disappear...it didn't ;)

   I'm not sure what else to include. I've been working with wordpress, off and on, since version 1.5 and have never seen this type of issue.

   Any help is appreciated,

   Update: I've tried half a dozen themes and in all of them - the categories lead to the desired category and not the homepage.

   So my question is: What, in a theme, could cause the category links to redirect to the homepage? I'm at a loss...

   Problem solved. Too embarrassed to say what it was... :) I should have taken a closer look at the code in archives.php before posting.

   i'm having a similar problem after upgrading to 2.6.1 - all of my year and month archives just redirect to the home page? what did you do to get it working again?

   figured it out! there was a check next to 'Disable the date-based archives' for the Robots Meta plugin...
