  • Hello bloke.

Drat! That functionality works on our site so I’m not sure what is happening at your end.

Its really hard to help without more details such as site details, access to see and things like theme name and version numbers. That being the case the wp.org support forums are not the right place to have this conversation.

Can you please post an official support request via our official support channel on our website.

    Best,
    Dan

I thought this was the official support forum for wp-ecommerce. This is where the website says to post for help.

These forums are best suited to support requests that don’t require sharing your private details and things like setting up your shop.

If a feature like that isnt working its probably a conflict with another plugin.

The first steps are to disable other plugins and if the problem is resolved then you should reactivate the plugins 1 by 1 until you find the culprit. And then use a different Plugin.

If this doesnt reveal the problem somebody would need to login to your site and investigate. In which case the pro support channel is what you actually need:

I always thought it was working because most of my products are unique to each category. But as I have about 900 products I have gone back to organize some in one category and noticed they don’t retain their order. You may assume its working say you have product #5 and it happens to be product #5 in the order also in another category. Then it would appear its sorting correctly but it is not. It is saving it to a field called menu_order so it will assign just one value here. Says its 5. But this will be wrong if it appears in another category also. I won’t want it to appear in position 5. So the order will be wrong. I tried moving a product and then going into the database to check the menu_order. Maybe since other products have a menu_order of 0 is the cause.

I realize im hi-jacking but every time i make a new thread no one responds…. I am also using the post-type-order plugin, I was advised to use it to sort the products in different categories. I would like them to appear in a certain way on the shop page and have tried dragging and dropping and am still to no avail, any help would be amazing thanks in advance.
