@footholdsystems – There could be a conflict with another plugin or even possibly an issue with your web host itself. Unfortunately there really is not enough information to offer more than the generic suggestion above.

    Thanks!

Really? That’s your answer? Another plugin is to blame or the web host? And that’s right after you published “an open letter to the WordPress community” discussing all the problem in the new version of the plugin…

In any case, my host is Bluehost, and I doubt it’s there fault, as they are the #1 hosting provider recommended by wordpress.org (http://wordpress.org/hosting/).

As for other plugins to blame, I highly doubt that’s the issue. I’ve also turned of the other plugins to test your theory – but it’s still not working.

    Thanks anyway.

Oh – I do. For example, the other day I was helping a Bluhost user who cointacted them to help her change folder permissions – only to be told that they didn’t know how to do that! No host is 100% perfect and contacting support can be a bit of a lottery sometimes in terms of how knowledgeable the person you speak to is.

    Have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by PhpMyAdmin then just reactivating NextGen. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

@footholdsystems – Considering I had no idea if you had attempted any troubleshooting I could only start with some common recommendations for you to consider.

Both of which have provided solutions, or at least indications of where to look further, in the past. That you were not able to gain any progress with your troubleshooting is unfortunate.

If you would like to submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) then by all means, please do.

We will need log in and FTP credentials to the WordPress installation to look closer at what might be causing this issue on your site, please include those with the Bug Report, too.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
