• Hi,
I’m trying out Twenty Fourteen on a local copy of our site before doing anything to the published site.

So far I can get featured posts to appear in the grid or slider once I’d set some Featured tags (I normally use categories). Clearly it will take time to get the magazine look like the demo.
However, my main problem is that when the page displays it also shows all of the other posts below the grid. How can I stop this and is there a way to only show selected categories?

I currently use the Graphene theme which lets you specify what appears in the Slider and the rest of the page. It would be good if Twenty Fourteen did the same. e.g. http://rlsc.rudyardlakesc.org.uk/

    Regards
    Phil

  • I’m having the same problem. I only wish to display a certain number of posts, nothing at all, or static text below the featured post grid, as the page is far too long otherwise.

    Many thanks

Ah, simply change the homepage to display a static page only. Although this will mean NO other posts are displayed.

I agree that the page is too long with all the old posts showing… is there any way to make it show a designated number of posts per page (say, 3), instead of a static page only?
