• Whenever I activate the Jetpack plugin, the Featured Posts Grid of my Twenty Fourteen theme disappears from the homepage. The default “Home” at the top menu also disappears.
However, I solved my problem by removing the trailing backslash in the menu’s Home default URL.
For example: the default Home URL in my Top Menu was ” http://www.abcdef.com/wp2014/
I removed the trailing backslash thus ” http://www.abcdef.com/wp2014 ” and the Featured Posts Grid and Home “button” reappeared with the Jetpack activated.
    Hope this helps somebody else.

Oops! No, it does not work now. The Jetpack plugin still breaks my featured homepage grid (on my own self-hosted site; not on wordpress.com ).

I want to use the stats only…

I’ve just updated Jetpack to ver 2.8 and the problem is solved.

I am using Jetpack 2.9 and there is one page that the sidebar gets stripped out of. I tried everything. It is strange because it only happens on one page. I deleted it and added a new page which worked for a couple minutes and I was back to the same thing. I spent hours trying to fix it. I thought it had to be a different plug in but it was Jetpack. Now that I worked around everything I use by adding different plugins I found that I still need Jetpack for auto sharing. Any suggestions.
