    Hello Everyone

I have a problem regarding the slider and the banner on website. I am learning WordPress and my problem is that, i want to add slider on the home page (use static page not a blog page) and place it at the top of the page after header and menu and add full width banner (either for text or image) on each page of website but not on homepage and place it at the top of the page after header and menu. Please tell me a smart and standard way to do this on any kind of WordPress theme and use any kind of slider and banner. Its for professional work so please give me a perfect and all time useful way to do this, thank you.

If you want to add a slider on the homepage banner area (ie. the section that sits below the header and menu), then depending on the slider that you want to use, you may be able to simply add a shortcode to the First Front Page Banner Widget area. If your slider doesn’t have shortcodes, then you’ll most likely need to modify the header.php template. Since you haven’t provided any links to your site or any indication of what slider you plan on using, I’m unable to say which way you’ll need to do it.

Also, if you want to added some text or an image to the banner area on each page, then you’ll also need to change this in your header.php template as well.

If you don’t know any html/css or how to modify php files, then I would recommend getting a developer to make your necessary changes.
