Groups and Playoffs

    Hi there,

    I am planning on using this plugin to run a league on my site. So far so good…

    I was just wondering if I could do the following and how to do it:

    – I will have 4 groups with 4 teams in each
    – Each team will play 1 match against each team on their group
    – After all matchs on all groups I want the top 2 teams on each group to advance to the playoffs

    Can I do that? How should I configure the league to do it? Not sure how to create the playoff really…

    If all of this is done using the “Championship” and “Teams Advance” options I think I got it 😀

    Any advices that I should take?

    Maggical, I apologize for not responding to you back when you asked this question, but Reaser, here’s how I would set it up, hopefully it works…

    1). Set your season to include three (3) match days, one for each game against the teams within the group (four teams, three games each).
    2). Set your league preferences to ‘Mode’ = Championship, ‘Number of Teams Advance’ = 2, ‘Groups’ to whatever you like, but separate them with semi-colons (;).
    3). When each group has completed their prelim rounds, the system will set up the playoffs.

    At least, that’s how I think it should work, but I haven’t worked with it much. It’s an area I’m starting to focus on though, so hopefully I’ll know more about how the code works shortly…
