   I updated to 2.5.1 yesterday but my Dashboard is telling me that I'm still using 2.5. To update I cleared out all the old files and uploaded everything fresh and I've done that twice. Any suggestions as to what's going on?

   What does the file wp-includes/version.php show?

   The two pertinent lines should say:
   $wp_version = '2.5.1';
$wp_db_version = 7796;

   If that file doesn't show the correct values, then I'd consider deleting the WordPress files, then reupload, per Steps 7 and 8 in Upgrading_WordPress_Extended.

   The version file was the first thing I checked and it says this is 2.5.1. Something is just not telling the Dashboard the correct version. Guess I'm off to check out the "compromised" thread.

   If it is this domain, http://www.assortedstuff.com, viewing source does show as WordPress 2.5.
